Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s daughter, Hope, wished a merry Christmas to illegal immigrants she claims ICE has been “terrorizing” in a politically-charged and divisive holiday message to her followers.
“I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all. Today I’m holding our neighbors that ICE has been terrorizing near and dear to my heart and sending them all the love and light as well as all the unhoused folks — just anybody that may be struggling right now I’m holding very close to me and I hope you can all do so as well,” the 24-year-old said in the Christmas Eve clip.
“This year has been a tough one for all of us,” she lamented at the end of the video.
The polarizing holiday message was ripped as out-of-touch by social media users.
“Of course, Hope completely ignores the American victims of illegals,” one critic raged.
“Too bad she doesn’t care about unhoused Americans,” another added.
“Yes, holding all of our unhoused military age men from the CCP Iran, Pakistan Afghanistan just hold them there and to your heart,” a third chimed in.
ICE agents have descended on Minneapolis, targeting hundreds of Somalis illegally in the thcity, where an estimated 80,000 people from the East African country live.
The operation follows the stunning revelation that scammers in the Somali migrant community allegedly engaged in massive fraud — costing Minnesota taxpayers some $1 billion — right under the nose of Gov. Walz, according to the state’s Department of Human Services.
Hope Walz, a social worker, has more than 555,000 followers on TikTok and has become a loud voice on the left since she entered the national spotlight when her dad was Kamala Harris’ 2024 running mate.
She’s also been openly critical of President Trump — who called her father “retarded” last month when he accused the Democrat governor of letting tens of thousands of Somali immigrants take over his “once great state” in a rage-filled Thanksgiving message.
“The president calling my dad what he did has unleashed a f–king s–t storm regarding offensive language towards me and my family and specifically my brother,” she said in a since-deleted TikTok rant in response.
Earlier this month she announced she was stepping away from TikTok until around Christmas, saying it was not “safe” for her to be on the internet after she was bombarded with threatening messages.
