Single woman immediately walked out on first date for this shocking reason: ‘Absolutely not’

She saw enough and walked out.

Today’s dating world is so bizarre that one singleton barely lasted five minutes on a first date before walking out.

Rachel Anderson is single and putting herself out there in the hopes of finding her fairytale ending. But something she’s not doing is tolerating any nonsense from a lame potential suitor.

Before her surprise date, Anderson was told to dress comfortably, like a “lounge day at home,” she explained in a now-viral TikTok video with over 1 million views. “So I throw on some sweatpants, a sweatshirt, some tennis shoes… my hair in a bun, no jewelry, no nothing.”

But when she pulled up to the restaurant, she suddenly realized that it wasn’t a low-key date by any means — instead, it was a fancy establishment. And she was told to dress like they were going to Neflix and chill.

“I turned around and walked out,” Anderson explained. “As soon as you meet me, you want to level the playing field by humbling and/or embarrassing me by bringing me out to a place where you know that I am underdressed? Absolutely not,” she said very matter-of-factly.

“Immediately blocked, you showed me who you are. You don’t have to show me twice.”

Commenters quickly came to her defense, piling on their support for her wise decision.

“I’m a grandmother now. I never thought I’d see women standing up for themselves like this in my lifetime and it’s beautiful,” one very sweet commenter wrote.

“He was testing you to see if he could control you,” someone else pointed out.

“Ladies, this is leaving at the first red flag,” another person wrote.

Today’s generation of young women is not just leaving a guy at the first whiff of a red flag; they’re also choosing not to hook up with guys for the sake of it, and are giving the side eye to marriage — an archaic tradition they feel no longer serves them.

According to 29-year-old Mandana Zarghami, hookup culture — aided by dating apps — ruined intimacy.

“Hookup culture doesn’t benefit women in any way — it only benefits the man,” said Zarghami.

“I’m not here to judge, but at the same time, it [hooking up] ruins the part where, when you actually find that person that you want to spend the rest of your life with, it takes away from that special, intimate moment that you have with them,” she added.
