Kylie Jenner was over the moon to learn that her onetime best friend, Jordyn Woods, is off the market.
“Jordyyyyyyy 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺,” Jenner, 28, wrote via Instagram comment on Thursday, December 26, shortly after Woods, 28, confirmed her engagement.
Several hours earlier, Woods announced via social media that boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns popped the question after five years together.
“Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” Woods wrote, sharing proposal photos.
Towns, 30, proposed to Woods on a balcony overlooking the New York City skyline with their family members in attendance.
“The most deserving woman,” Woods’ sister, Jodie, later commented on Thursday. “So proud of both of you. This is EVERYTHING.”
Jenner, for her part, also “liked” the announcement upload.
Woods started dating Towns, who currently plays basketball for the New York Knicks, in 2020 amid her estrangement from Jenner.
The two women’s friendship fractured in 2019 after Woods was caught making out with Tristan Thompson, who was in a relationship with Jenner’s sister Khloé Kardashian at the time. (Kardashian, 41, and Thompson, 30, split for good in 2021 after welcoming two children together.)
“I love [Kylie]. That’s my homie,” Woods told Cosmopolitan UK later that year, while alluding to an estrangement. “I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier.”
The model added, “A lot of people can be around when things are good, but you don’t know who’s really around until things are bad. … We were just all young kids, and you know what it’s like — everyone’s friends, everyone’s around, and you just build connections.”
The next year, Woods hinted at her growth since the drama.
“I think life is just about constantly evolving and constantly growing and becoming the best version of you,” she said on the “Behind Closed Doors” podcast in 2020. “And as long as you’re solid and the people around you are solid and everyone has the best intentions and everyone’s genuine, there’s not really a problem. I love meeting new people and, you know, I love people.”
Woods further explained why she didn’t have any regrets about everything that happened.
“I think that you can’t let life dim you down and you can’t let things happen to you or whatever, you know what goes on in life, change who you are for the worst,” Woods said at the time. “You have to constantly become better and evolve and everything is a learning lesson. [I am] very happy with the people I have in my life and that’s just life. Everything comes full circle too.”
Jenner and Woods buried the hatchet three years later when they were spotted at a joint dinner in July 2023.
“Kylie was the one to reach out to Jordyn,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “She missed her and felt enough time had passed and they wanted to meet up.”
According to the insider, Kardashian had blessed the meetup.
“Khloé is all about forgiveness and moving forward,” the source said. “Khloé is OK with Kylie seeing [Jordyn].”
A second insider, meanwhile, stressed to Us that Jenner and Woods’ friendship was still “a work in progress.”
Earlier this year, the duo were spotted together at a Knicks game, celebrating the team’s win over the Boston Celtics. Jenner is dating Knicks superfan Timothée Chalamet and has often attended games with him.
