The Lakers and Clippers have gone in opposite directions this season, as the Clippers have already waived team legend Chris Paul, with the team seemingly scapegoating him for its 6-21 start. That hasn’t worked out much so far, as the Clippers have lost five games in a row and are 1-9 in their last 10. Most recently, the Clippers got blown out by the Oklahoma City Thunder 122-101, despite Kawhi Leonard scoring 22 points to go with eight rebounds and six assists.
The Lakers, on the other hand, are 19-7 this season thanks to their elite backcourt, featuring Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, as well as the play of LeBron James, one of the game’s all-time greats, who continues to win his fight against Father Time. In the Lakers’ most recent outing, the purple and gold defeated the Utah Jazz 143-135, behind 45 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists from Doncic. James also had a big game, scoring 28 points to go with seven rebounds and 10 assists.
