Kentucky Basketball is on a 10-day break after their Christmas Eve’s Eve defeat of Bellarmine.
The Wildcats are 9-4 going into the new year, and though they fell out of the Associated Press Top-25 rankings, Mark Pope’s team is riding a four-game winning streak with victories over both Indiana and St. John’s.
Kentucky may have very well just needed to get healthy to show their true potential, and a 10-day break will only help the Wildcats as they prepare for a heated matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide next Saturday in Tuscaloosa to kick off Southeastern Conference play.
While celebrating the holidays, the team announced at 7 AM on Christmas morning that they will bring back their denim uniforms on February 7th when they host the Tennessee Volunteers at Rupp Arena — nearly 30 years after they originally debuted on February 11th, 1996.
Kentucky’s uniforms have always been an interesting topic over the years (love for Platinum jerseys, hate for Checkerboards), and this will surely be a unanimous favorite across the Big Blue Nation.
