Bam Adebayo has been an excellent player for the Miami Heat for a long time. This season, he has been solid, but he has been struggling recently. In the Heat’s 91-112 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, Adebayo only scored 9 points on 4-11 shooting. He did grab 12 rebounds, but he was less impactful on the offensive end.
After losing to the Raptors, the Heat are on a three-game losing streak and are 15-15 on the season. Considering they started the season strong, this is a disappointing development, and Adebayo has not played well during this stretch.
Adebayo admits he is in a rut, but he will bounce back
While the Heat have lost three games in a row, they have lost to some of the Eastern Conference’s best teams. Not only did they lose to the Raptors, but they also fell to the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
This should be an encouraging sign, but the Heat have to improve. They must do better against some of the decent teams because they have aspirations of making it far in the postseason. They have a decent team with Adebayo, Norman Powell, and Tyler Herro leading the way.

The Heat have Erik Spoelstra as the head coach, so anything is possible with this team. Considering they also have a bright young talent with Kel’el Ware, they have a bright future moving forward. Adebayo is admittedly in a slump, but he sees himself bouncing back.
“It sucks, but it’s a part of the NBA, it’s a long season. Figure out how I can impact winning and do that instead of focusing on shots not falling. Shots will eventually start falling. Shots just not falling, that’s really all it is. Figure out how I can get a couple more touches throughout the flow of the offense,” Adebayo said after losing to Toronto.
As long as the Heat can find their form, they should be okay in the East. Norman Powell himself has also admitted that they are not running the plays in the best way they can. If they can find the best way to implement the system, the Heat should have a stronger chance of getting more wins.
