It’s the most wonderful time of the year — especially for these lucky New Yorkers.
One fortunate Long Island LOTTO player snagged the $13.9 million jackpot on Christmas Eve — while the state also saw three second-prize Powerball winners this week.
The jackpot-winning ticket, which matched all six numbers in the drawing, was sold at Lovely Cards and Gifts in Hicksville, officials said.
In Queens, a $1,000 A Day for Life ticket was sold at an Oakland Gardens convenience store on 48th Avenue as part of the Cash 4 Life drawing Wednesday night.
The ticket is worth a guaranteed minimum of $7 million, state lottery officials said.
The big winner in Powerball’s Christmas Eve drawing came from Little Rock, Arkansas — a $1.82 billion jackpot — but a second-place prize ticket of $1 million was also sold at a gas station on West Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst.
A pair of million-dollar-winning tickets for Monday’s Powerball drawing were also sold at New York stores in Manhattan and Long Island.
One of the second-prize winning stubs was purchased at a newsstand on Pine Street in the Financial District, while the other was sold at a gas station convenience store, Gurucharan and Brothers, on West Merrick Road in Valley Stream.
The Powerball jackpot Wednesday night marked the second largest in lotto history. The gargantuan grand prize was only smaller than the game’s largest jackpot of $2.04 billion in November 2022.
It was the second time the Powerball grand prize was won on Christmas Eve. The first was in 2011, when an anonymous ticket holder won a $129 million payout.
The Powerball grand prize was reset to $20 million for Saturday’s drawing.
