Following the announcement of the 2026 Pro Bowl Games roster, one player from the Pittsburgh Steelers who didn’t make the cut was just named as an alternate.
According to Priority Sports, Steelers fullback Connor Heyward was named as an alternate for the upcoming Pro Bowl Games, behind starting fullback Patrick Ricard of the Baltimore Ravens.
The spearhead of Pittsburgh’s rendition of the tush push, named “Spartan” by the Steelers, Heyward has been vital in key short-yardage situations on third and fourth downs, as well as on the goal line.
Through 15 games, Heyward has caught two passes for 18 yards and one touchdown. He’s also recorded his first rushing touchdown of the season against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15.
If Heyward is called up from a 2026 Pro Bowl Games alternate to the starting roster, he will join the three Steelers previously selected — FS Jalen Ramsey, OLB T.J. Watt, and ST Ben Skowronek.
